Netiquette
In other words, netiquette, is your behavior online. Good netiquette involves respecting others' privacy and not doing anything online that will annoy or frustrate other people. Three areas where good netiquette is highly stressed are e-mail, online chat, and newsgroups. For example, people that spam other users with unwanted e-mails or flood them with messages have very bad netiquette.

1. Respect other people's time and bandwidth.
2. Respect other people's privacy. 3. Don't abuse your power. 4. Be forgiving of other people's mistakes. 5. Remember you can't undo what you do online. |
Why is it important?
"Netiquette" refers to Internet etiquette. This simply means the use of good manners in online communication such as e-mail, forums, blogs, and social networking sites to name a few. It is important to use netiquette because communication online is non-verbal.

What are the consequences?
Using netiquette will lessen the chances if misunderstanding or argument with someone online. Not using the rules of netiquette, could possibly have some consequences. Some consequences of not using netiquette include, creating corporate embarrassment, undermining teamwork, and draining employee energy.
